X-Pac - what is this fabric?

In our bags, the material is X-Pac.

X-Pac is the balance between strength and lightness. It is a 4-layer laminate, consisting of: nylon, polyester, pet and taffeta.

• C6 DWR 210D Nylon face
• Black Polyester X-PLY at 22 degrees
• 0.25 mil PET film
• 50D Poly Taffeta backing for abrasion resistance

X-Pac is lightweight and has a high tensile strength.

The diagonal polyester fibers give ikspak such a characteristic pattern with a rhombus and give it tensile stability and tensile strength.

Among other features, due to lamination with polyethylene, the fabric is waterproof.

Due to the outer nylon layer, dirt and dust are poorly attached to the fabric.

This fabric is the base name of a large number of products from Dimension Polyant Inc (USA). The company is better known for the production of high-tech sailing fabric, but in recent years they began to produce textiles for the tourism industry.

Compared to CORDURA, the X-Pac is a more lightweight version with the same Cordura qualities.
