In early June, our KasyBag team went on a short trip to the Zhytomyr region. Over the three days of the trip, we covered almost 200 km, almost half the way passed along dirt, sand and cobblestone roads.
We really liked the route. We did not go to busy freeways, because it was very comfortable to move along secondary and forest roads, and the periodic shade from the trees made it possible not to overheat in the sun, although the days were sultry.
In this small trip, we certainly went with our KasyBag bags. For a summer trip, this is what you need. You don’t need to take warm things, the sleeping bag takes up a minimum of space and as a result we didn’t even hang all the bags, because there was no need. By the way, on this journey, we picked up ЇDLO products with us, and we could say were autonomous. So I think you understand how much free space we had in our bags.
A bit about the route itself. Zhytomyr region is quite an interesting place. There are many forests and chic dirt roads. For many, you won’t be able to ride with the breeze. sand predominates, but still, you can more or less drive normally. In addition to forests, on the way we met manors of the early 20th century, a fortress, abandoned military bases, lakes, flooded and unfilled quarries, exits of granite rapids. We even swept through the central part of a fully operational training ground and saw dozens of paratroopers in the sky. And spent the night in the forest, near an unusually picturesque quarry.
I think many who are fond of climbing know such a place as Deneshi, so we also scouted these lands. In general, there is something to see. Including the city of Zhytomyr itself. We have never been here, so it was interesting to ride around the old regional center.
With this, our brief report on the campaign came to an end, for detailed information you can see on our travel blog, and below is a small video from the trip.
