Bikepacking - house on two wheels

Why did we come up with such a definition? Just because it really is. After all, every thing on a bicycle has its own “shelf”. The distribution of equipment, food, utensils, clothes is taken for granted. Most likely, all the things on the trip will be delivered and packed in the same bags, and you will understand how convenient it is.

Each journey begins with a route where we want to go and how. Off-road or track. For a couple of days or a month. When a person has decided on points A and B, he begins to prepare his “camp house”. And if you used to call a tent “home”, then having a bike pack, it will seem to you that you simply “live on the road”, every moment.

What is the reason for this?

Your bike will have several bags, and each of them has its own set of equipment, like on shelves. You can put more necessary things on the road closer, and those that will be needed only at night, away. This is a great way to save time and space.

Thus, a phone, a camera, money, documents, a toothbrush, a glass or a knife, have their place and are always in easy access. I carried lunch sausage and bars in a triangular bag and it was very convenient for me to get them even on the go.

You no longer need a backpack. But if you need a place for important things. Use a shoulder bag for this. You can remove it from the steering wheel and just walk with it around the city by hanging it on your shoulder.

But do not be upset about the small triangle. You can compensate for this by installing larger trolley bags on the steering wheel.

In general, I want to say that bike packing provides a huge space of choice, and the absolute universality of fastenings becomes the main criterion. No need to install luggage racks or other devices. All elements of bags are attached to slings, ties and velcro tapes. And the use of durable and water-repellent materials makes bike bags ideal for cycling trips for one day or a month or more.
